Fintech: Ledger, Treasury & Reconciliation
The ledger, treasury, and reconciliation that keep your money truthful.
Double entry ledgers, permissioned settlement, automated reconciliation, and real time treasury dashboards: the accounting backbone every payment platform and card program needs to pass audit.
The short answer
Why does a fintech need a proper ledger?
A fintech's ledger is the single source of truth for every unit of value the business handles: customer balances, in flight transfers, fees, refunds, chargebacks, FX conversions. Without a proper double entry ledger, discrepancies between acquirer feeds, bank statements, and internal systems compound silently until a regulator, an auditor, or a customer notices. A purpose built ledger (double entry, immutable, event sourced, reconciled continuously) is the difference between passing audit and rebuilding the platform under pressure.
What we build
Ledger, Treasury & Reconciliation, engineered on your infrastructure.
Double entry ledger
Every event produces balanced debits and credits, immutable, event sourced: the accounting model auditors expect and every downstream report can trust.
Permissioned settlement
Settlement ledger with role based permissions, dual control approvals, and tamper evident logs.
Automated reconciliation
Match acquirer feeds, bank statements, internal ledger, and downstream partners continuously: surface breaks and exceptions before month end.
Treasury dashboards
Real time position across accounts and currencies, float visibility, and cash flow forecasting for the treasury team.
Financial reporting & GL export
Export to your GL (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) with a clean chart of accounts mapping and a lineage from every entry to the originating event.
Audit ready evidence
Every entry carries provenance to the raw event that produced it: the evidence external auditors and regulators actually ask for.
FAQ
Ledger, Treasury & Reconciliation: frequently asked questions.
Can we use QuickBooks or NetSuite as our fintech ledger?
Not as the operational ledger. General ledger accounting tools are built for period end financial reporting, not for the millisecond level, per transaction accounting a payment platform generates. A purpose built double entry ledger sits under the payment platform, and you export to your GL for financial statements: with lineage from the report back to every transaction.
What's tamper evident audit and why do I need it?
Tamper evident logs prove that recorded events haven't been altered after the fact: typically through hash chains or Merkle structures. Auditors and regulators increasingly ask for it because it's the only way to prove that yesterday's settlement really was yesterday's settlement, not something quietly edited later.
How does reconciliation work across many rails and currencies?
Each rail and each currency has its own feed (acquirer reports, bank statements, network settlement files) with its own format and cadence. The reconciliation engine ingests all of them, matches them to internal ledger entries by transaction ID, amount, timestamp, and currency, and surfaces the residual breaks for human resolution. Well tuned, break volume trends toward zero over time.
Does this integrate with our existing accounting system?
Yes. The operational ledger runs live under the payment platform; scheduled exports (typically daily or hourly) map into your general ledger chart of accounts. Every exported entry retains a link back to the originating event so audit questions resolve without hunting.
